Since opening in 2013, Penny Banger brings something different to this famous neighbourhood. Located in the Barrio Gòtico as part of the historical Palau Mornau – one of the oldest and most classical buildings in the area.

Built in the Sixteenth and Seventeenth centuries the Palace was originally owned by the honorary curator of the Royal Army of 1797 – José Francisco de Mornau. It is here where during 1809 the planning of the conspiracy against the French occupation of Barcelona took place.

After an extensive and beautifully carried out renovation the main building of the Palace is now home to the Hemp and Marijuana Museum.

It is in this setting that Penny Banger has established itself as one of the most friendliest and welcoming bars in the neighbourhood .
